Condor's Wife: Outfits
This is the main character of the story The Condor's Wife, Naiya. Here are some outfits of her in her original form before she becomes Condor's wife.
I haven't really done much with this story, but it is one of the original three that I had planned to work on. Where as The Bear King is from Norway, and The Talking Bird, The Singing Tree, and The Golden Water is from a Thousand and One Nights, The Condor's Wife is from South America. Of the three, this story is the darkest, correlating to the morbid nature of many of the stories of South America. While researching, I felt that a lot of the stories from that region involve callous and symbolic death with trickster-like characters. I plan for Naiya to be more of a conduit for the audience to witness the events that happen in the mythological/supernatural world.
I think I like the middle-bottom outfit the best.

The Bear King: Willow Trees
More trees for the Bear King. Specifically, these are for a character that will be introduced soon. He lives in a small wooded area, made of nothing but willow trees, by a waterfall. In this area, it is always spring or early summer.

Talking Bird, Singing Tree, Golden Water -- A Plethora of Horses 1
Some horses for Princess Parizade and her brothers. Arabian horses is the obvious breed of choice, and so I did a little research. Small in stature, they are sturdy horses known for their strength, endurance, and speed. They can be easily recognized for their high tails and 'concave' faces

The Bear King -- Buildings
Suddenly realized I hadn't put these guys up yet! Some building studies, and a bridge, for The Beak King's world. The girl's family is poor, so they have a small house. I particularly like the look of Norwegian store houses (laugh) But the Bear Kind lives in something much grander. Plus there have to be houses for the village! Which one do you like?
Edit: As per request, they now have numbers! :D

The Bear King -- Daughter's Outfits
Some outfits fot the Bear King Story. I was doing a lot of research for traditional Norwegian clothing, which was 1) Really fun and 2) a good thing, because my original assumption of what her outfit should be was totally wrong.
I think of her body as thin without a lot of curve, but she wears big shaped clothing. I want the realization of how thin she is to be more surprising. Which is an unusual thing for me, as I love tight outfits

Talking Bird, Singing Tree, Golden Water -- Buildings
Sorry updates have been slow, something is wrong with my knuckle and I can't hold a pen *sob* Some last little sketches before chaos hit me. Supposedly I just have to rest it for a few days, but its so hard not to draw.
Princess Parizade's foster father was the sultans gardener, as I mentioned before, so here I drew a few ideas for what that house looked like.
On another note, I'm looking for a third 'Princess'. I really want one from South America, but it is hard to find native stories to the region. This is because of the European invasion and systematic attempt to destroy much of the cultures that existed there. Since I can't draw, I'm spending more time researching

The Bear King -- Trees
Here are trees for another story I like called the Bear King. It's a Norwegian story, with a number or variations (Such as if the girl is a princess or a poor girl, if she has children with the bear, if the bear is a Prince or a King, ect.) Right now I'm working on an expression sheet for the girl. She isn't coming to me quite as readily as Princess Parizade, but I think we are growing on one another

Talking Bird, Singing Tree, Golden Water -- Trees
Trees for the world of The Talking Bird, The Singing Tree, and The Golden Water
None of these are the actual singing tree, just background foliage. But I had a lot of fun with these, and unlike the birdcages, I can have more than one! Hooray!

The Talking Bird -- Birdcages
Some studies for a birdcage. The story of Princess Parizade is actually called "The Talking Bird, The Singing Tree, and The Golden Water", referring to the quest for these three items she goes on. The other two items don't really amount to much, but the bird is crucial to the story. Anyway, she finds him at the top of this mountain in a birdcage, and as soon as she touches him, he gives himself up to her.
