Some Color Keys

Some color keys for fun and practice. Lots of fun and lots of different plans of attack.

Also, if you weren't already aware, I've started a second blog that catalogs and reviews some of my art books. I'll be updating as frequently as I get new books and get around to photographing old ones. Check it out!

The Bear King -- Daughter's Outfits

Some outfits fot the Bear King Story. I was doing a lot of research for traditional Norwegian clothing, which was 1) Really fun and 2) a good thing, because my original assumption of what her outfit should be was totally wrong.

I think of her body as thin without a lot of curve, but she wears big shaped clothing. I want the realization of how thin she is to be more surprising. Which is an unusual thing for me, as I love tight outfits

Princess Parizade -- Color Keys

Princess Parizade, from the tale, "The Talking Bird, the Singing Tree, and the Golden Water", one of the stories from a Thousand and One Nights. She is a really interesting character, especially regarding the other stories of princesses found in the same collection. She is openly acknowledged as more skillful then her accomplished brothers in swordsmanship, horsemanship, archery, not to mention she is has a piercing wit, and can play the harp and dance like the best of them. She seems like someone who sees a challenge in everything, and isn't about to let it pass
